WinBackup Makes Backing up Data a Breeze
LI Utilities has released WinBackup, a Windows utility that makes it quick and easy to back up the files on your PC. With its easy-to-use Wizard and built-in scheduling, you can simply identify your critical files, and WinBackup will locate, compress, and encrypt them for your safety and security. WinBackup's Wizard lets you set up a backup job in just a minute or two. You define the folders and files that you wish to capture, specify the level of password protection and encryption, and determine where to place the backup archive. You can create a separate backup job for each project, for each person on the network, or based upon your individual needs. With a single click, you can back up your Outlook emails, Internet favorites, address book, desktop, or My Documents folder. Each job includes customized compression and security settings, and jobs can be run immediately, daily, weekly, monthly, or on any schedule. With its emphasis on security, WinBackup captures files securely, on individual computers or across the network. Strong encryption, including 128 or 256 bit AES encryption, protects your backups from unauthorized access. Files are compressed and password protected before they travel across the network. There is a comprehensive log that records all of the files that were backed up. WinBackup can write to CD-R and DVD-R media. For huge backup jobs, the program can span multiple disks. But to keep jobs from becoming huge, it's easy to identify a folder to be backed up, and exclude any number of file types from the backup. Restoring files is as easy and secure as backing them up. You can restore selected files with a single click. Before restoring a file, you can open it and look at it. You can even restore a file or folder to a different location or a different computer. Whether you're a business person who has avoided backing up your hard drive because the process seemed too daunting, a corporate security officer concerned about sensitive backup data falling into the wrong hands, or a home user who needs a backup copy of your financial statements, spreadsheets, and emails, WinBackup provides an affordable solution. WinBackup runs under Windows 98/Me/NT4/2000/XP, costs $29.95 (US), and may be purchased securely online. Multi-user licenses are available. You can download a free, fully-functional 30-day trial version of WinBackup.
